Picnic to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah..^o^

Last Saturday, me and Hillary, my sister-in-law & her husband, my niece, and my housemaid visited Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). But, since this place is very huge and lots places to visit, we only visited Dunia Air Tawar (Fresh Water World), Museum Serangga dan Taman Kupu-kupu (Museum of Insects and Butterflies Park), and Museum Hakka Indonesia (Indonesian Hakka Museum) at Taman Budaya Tionghoa (Chinese Cultural Park). Hillary was very excited and I was happy that I could bring her to visit this place. We arrived in Taman Mini at around 09.30 AM and ended the visit at around 2.00 PM. Tired but happy! ^o^

The first place that we visited in TMII was Dunia Air Tawar. Dunia Air Tawar is one of recreational place in TMII that has diversity of fresh water biota. Built in 1992 and was inaugurated on April 20, 1994, this place is the world's second largest and the biggest in Asia as it has 6,000 fish from 126 species, consisting of various types, size, place of origin in Indonesia and other parts of the world. You can click here to find out more information about Dunia Air Tawar in TMII.

After visited Dunia Air Tawar, we moved to the next place called Museum Serangga & Taman Kupu-Kupu. Museum of insects is a place to introduce the diversity of the insect world. This place has a number of unique collections which are all derived from the Indonesian archipelago. It is estimated at about 16% of the amount of insect species exist in the world, or about 250,000 that live in Indonesia. For more information about this place, you can click here.

Before we went home, we visited Museum Hakka Indonesia at Taman Budaya Tionghoa. In this place, visitors can see objects that are used by Chinese immigrants who live in Indonesia. If you want to find out about this place, you can click here.
